It is located at the confluence of the Snake and Clearwater Rivers in a valley at 738 feet above sea level. Their average rainfall is 12.9", their growing season is 200 days, and their average temperatures in the winter are 26 to 40 degrees, while in the summer is 59 to 93 degrees. Lewiston is Idaho's only seaport and oldest city, and became the State's capital in 1863, but retained the title only a few years before the capital was moved to Boise.

A teammate rode with us for the long trek, which included 200 miles through Lolo Pass...

with huge cedars!

Finally, our destination....quite different than what we were used to!

The opening ceremonies started us off...

& we were once again playing baseball!

It was going to be a hot game...

But our faithful supporters still showed their team spirit!!

Time to play ball.....

One highlight...their name on the screen :)

Austin did well pitching part of 1 game...

& loved stealing bases...

& playing shortstop...

Each team was given a day off...ours was spent driving up Lewiston Hill...a spot where the 3 states of Oregon, Idaho, and Washington are viewed...

Playing in the Snake River...
& debating whether or not to take a truck home....crazy, huh?!

...We opted not to...

Their only win out of 4 games was against Alberta, Canada
but they gave it their all!

We had alot of fun and lots of good memories....Good job, guys!

Winner of the PNW Regional Tournament was Josephine Co. Oregon

Take me out to the Ballgame....again!

Destination: Beautiful Kalispell, MT
almost 600 miles away....
10 teams in the tournament
Playing in the Whitefish and Columbia Falls fields....

But first stop- Hungry Horse Dam

We also had to get in on the "great adventure!"

Then it was baseball!
Everyone was there to cheer the boys on....We had our favorite photographer :)
& announcer to let the folks back home hear the games
After playing 3 pool play games and losing 1 of them,
it was on to the tournament...

Austin enjoyed playing his favorite position...Centerfield

where he made some B-E-A-U-TIFUL catches!
The Kalispell/Glendive game went 0-0 until the 9th inning,where Glendive won 3-0
What an awesome game!

More R&R between games....

Alex met up with a buddy from his Richey days, who lives in nearby Bigfork...
This is the sign at his road entrance!

After winning all our tournament games, it was time for the Championship game!!

Heads or Tails, Coach Pearcy?
The lineup...and we're ready to play!

Everyone enjoyed the sound effects in the Columbia Falls field

Austin & his "wheels!"

The boys won 14-3!!!

Babe Ruth State Champs 2008!!!

Good job, guys :)

Now it's on to Regionals in Lewiston, Idaho!
