~The greatest joy a mother can know is that her children are walking with the Lord~

By God's grace, prayers have been answered and Ashley is now living her life for Him :) It is so awesome watching her grow and seeing her so hungry for the Word...growing by leaps and bounds...not perfect!, but still growing and learning. I thought it would be some traumatic event that would bring her around, but while Tiffani was going through Beth Moore's "Believing God" Bible Study, she started praying specific things for Ashley and God started to work in her life. God does work in mysterious ways! After a series of events in Ashley's life, Tiffani commented to me, "Well you know, I am praying for her and I believe God is going to do something big in her life!" Little did we know what a change He would bring about in her life. Alex and I still ask each other, "Is that our daughter?!"

2 Corinthians 5:17 "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new." (NKJV)...

"New things" I've seen in Ashley...
1) The first thing that got my attention was she wanted to go to the same Bible College that Tiff and John went to....my daughter? Bible College?

2) Ashley told her old roommate in Bismarck that she wouldn't be back as she planned, but she wanted to go to Bible College...she got laughed at, but she was pretty proud of herself for taking that step :) We were proud of her too!

3) She started hanging out with girls who read their Bibles and pray together, and got together with a college age group for Bible Study, and playing board games on the weekend. A facebook status after such a weekend, was "I had so much fun last night!"

4) She made the comment to me, "I can see myself living in Glendive for the rest of my life!" My daughter...who used to say she would never live here...now, for the rest of her life??!! haha

5) Ashley asked me to buy her a Bible Reference Book...wow, she must be serious! She also bought a journal.

6) She told me she is thankful for us not baling her out but making her pay her bills...wow! That is a biggee!!

7) She sings in church...even the hymns...and takes her Bible with her many places. She makes time to have her daily time in the Word.

8) She wants to go on a Missions trip...and the list goes on...

9) The biggest change I have noticed in Ashley, is that her heart is joyful. She has a purpose and she is living it out for the Lord. I am just amazed at seeing first hand how God can change a heart.

I am so thankful for the obedience to the Lord that Tiffani showed and the housework she let go undone, so she could spend time in prayer. She prayed for a sister over 21 years ago, and God is still answering prayer today!

What a busy spring/summer it has been so far! Grandma Eggert was diagnosed with cancer and given only 2 to 4 months to live, so Tiffani and the girls came out in May and we all went and visited her, which came to be our last time to see her alive. We are so thankful for the Vennebergs who were able to witness to her and tell her of the saving grace of Jesus. She told them she was what they call a real heathen! But she knew it wouldn't be long until she would pass from this earth, and wasn't sure where she would be spending eternity. She was ready to receive Him into her life, and now is truly at peace and worshipping Him!

The girls were bashful at first of Grampa Alex...Hannah wasn't quite sure, but warmed up nicely!
We celebrated Hannah's first birthday. She didn't know what to think of the musical candle!
